A small frame with a glowing edge that matches the photo on screen.
This is the smallest of Apolosign's neon-lit frames, a 9.7 inch photo display with a colored light ring around the edge that actually reacts to the photo on screen. It's a gift-shelf size, small enough for a desk or a bedside table rather than a living room centerpiece.
The light ring is the whole personality of this frame. It uses AI image recognition to read the colors in whatever photo is showing and shifts the glow to match, so a beach photo might glow blue, a sunset photo orange. You can also lock it to one color, or turn it off entirely if you'd rather it just sit there quietly. Apolosign rates the strip for over 30,000 hours, so it's not something that's expected to dim out in a year or two.
The screen itself is a 2K (2048 x 1536) touchscreen on a 2.5D curved panel, noticeably sharper than a standard HD frame, which matters since the entire point of this product is looking at photos up close. It auto-rotates, so it displays correctly whether it's sitting in portrait or landscape.
Getting photos onto it goes through the Frameo app (iOS and Android). Once it's paired over Wi-Fi, you or anyone you invite can send photos straight to the frame from anywhere, no need to be in the same house, which is really the feature that makes this a good gift for a grandparent or someone living elsewhere.
Frameo also handles calendar sync, pulling in events from iCloud, Google, Yahoo, Outlook or other calendar apps, so the frame can show upcoming plans alongside photos if you want it to double as a small family planner.
Storage is 32GB built in, with a microSD slot that takes it up to 128GB if you want to keep a large library of photos actually stored on the frame instead of relying on new ones being sent.
The 10.1" and 14.1" versions use the same light-ring idea and the same Frameo app, just on bigger screens, better if this is going somewhere more central like a living room shelf. If the glowing light ring isn't something you care about, the plain Digital Photo Frames (10.1" and 15.6") cost less and keep the same Frameo sharing features without the light effect.
Good fit as a gift, especially for someone who'd enjoy getting photos sent remotely, or for a desk or bedside table where a small, eye-catching frame fits better than a large one.
Skip it if you want a frame visible from across a room, or if the light ring isn't appealing to you, the plain photo frames do the same sharing job for less.
